Wanderers announce ‘historic’ partnership

Wanderers have announced a “landmark partnership extension” with Macron until the end of the 2030/31 season.

In 2014, Macron became involved with the team, producing their uniforms and obtaining the four-year stadium naming rights.

Crystal Palace, Stoke City, Real Sociedad, Bologna, Sampdoria, and Nantes are some of the other partner clubs.

“Following the signing of this historic deal in recent weeks, Macron will continue to manufacture Wanderers’ home, away, and third kits as well as provide training wear for the first team and club staff,” stated an official statement.

“Starting with the upcoming season, the team will also provide Wanderers supporters with a new line of branded leisurewear.

“In addition, Macron will work with in-house club staff to modernise and refurbish Wanderers’ retail store, on site at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, with the aim of providing an interactive and exciting shopping experience to supporters.”

Chief executive Neil Hart says the terms of the new agreement are “vastly improved” to both Wanderers and Macron.

He told the club’s official website: “We are delighted to extend our long-held partnership with Macron.

“There is so much history already between Wanderers and Macron, and we are pleased to have strengthened our links in the past couple of years. The team are superb to work with and are real champions of Bolton Wanderers.

“Kit sales are at an all-time high at the club and their support for our Pick Our Kits initiative, alongside the quality and innovation of their products, has played a crucial part in that.

“I am pleased that the terms of this renewed commercial agreement are also vastly improved to the benefit of both Macron and Bolton Wanderers.”

Gianluca Pavanello, chief executive of Macron, added: “Our ties with Bolton Wanderers are really important to us as they represent a significant phase in our history.

“The club is part of the history of English football and it is an exciting challenge for us to develop new game sets for the players every year, along with merchandise for a fan base that is passionate about the colours and symbols of the club.”
