Jayson Tatum is making his case as the most impactful player in the NBA.
Right now, the Eastern Conference’s second-best record belongs to the Boston Celtics. Jayson Tatum is averaging 27.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 35.9 minutes per game for the 2023–2024 campaign.
Tatum is prepared to forgo his personal scoring in order to ensure the success of the team, according to Inside The Celtics.
“Our team is quite strong, and I know that five of our players can score in double figures. It will therefore appear slightly different each night, but that is okay.
Teammates Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, and Derrick White are also averaging double-digits in points. Tatum alluded to the importance of finding additional ways to impact a game.
“Some nights, other guys might really have it going and we’ve just got to find the balance… it might not be your night offensively tonight, but what else can you do to impact the game?”
This season, Tatum leads the NBA in highest plus-minus rating. The four-time All-Star, however, isn’t too focused on the metric.
