Details After Dundee SPFL Action Over Celtic Penalty…

The Boston Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets 124-109 on Friday night, and Jaylen Brown scored 25 points. However, he kept his best shots for the postgame.

The star guard criticised Grant Williams, a former teammate, for slamming into Jayson Tatum from the side late in the fourth quarter while Tatum was dribbling close to half court. Tatum fell to the floor. Then Brown entered, glaring at Williams and the Hornets bench.

While referees evaluated the play, Tatum just strolled towards the foul line, seeming furious as he stood up. Williams might receive a league ban after being dismissed for a flagrant foul two. When asked if he believed Williams’ foul was an accident, Brown responded without hesitation.

“For example, what are we discussing? Do you all witness the same play that I did? In Charlotte, Brown told reporters. “He struck him as though it were a football play. For example, Ray Lewis crossing the centre or whatever. It is what it is. Grant is aware of this.

Brown stated a foul like that has no place in the NBA and asked why.

Brown questioned why Williams, who played with him and Tatum in Boston from 2019 to 2023, would commit such a foul and stated that there is no place in the NBA for it.”I thought JT and Grant was friends. … I guess not,” Brown stated.Although Williams admitted that it was a hard foul, he denied that it was deliberate.

“I’m not attempting to harm anyone. That’s one of my best pals in the game, as everyone knows,” Williams told NBC Sports Boston. “I realise that JB is attempting to shield his teammate, but he kind of escalated it. However, that’s my puppy, Tatum. I got his back no matter what…. There’s no malice or anything wrong with it.”

After finishing with a game-high 32 points, Tatum refused to talk to the media.

Joe Mazzulla, the coach of the Celtics, declined to explicitly criticise Williams.

He remarked, “I’m glad that [Tatum] is fine,” The fact that he immediately got up and didn’t just sit around is what I found most admirable. He was unfazed. He immediately stood up, went to the free throw, and took care of himself.

Following Tatum’s foul, the game continued to be intense. Shortly after, LaMelo Ball was given a flagrant for a dangerous foul after fouling the Celtics star during a 3-point attempt. Hornets forward Miles Bridges was sent off in the final seconds. “Teams like to send messages and try to set the tone and do all different type of stuff to try to either get us out of character or mess with our mind or make us feel like we solved or whatever the case is,” Brown stated. “None of it will do for us. It’s just that we’re not. We simply won’t be going.”

It won’t take long for the teams to meet together. On Saturday night, they will perform once more, this time in Boston.
