A16 Boston report: Tragedy as Woman killed and five injured in horrific crash

A woman has died and five people have been injured following a two-vehicle crash in Lincolnshire.

Two blue cars collided on the A16 between Kirton and Sutterton roundabout, near Boston, on Monday morning, police said.

Emergency services were called before 07:00 GMT after a Volkswagen Scirocco crashed into a Vauxhall Zafira, which was travelling towards Spalding.

The road has since remained closed in both directions.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.

They are keen to speak to those who may have dashcam footage of the collision or captured the vehicles in the moments leading up to the crash.

A member of the public discovered the woman in water at Fulney Lane South at 09:00 GMT.

Police and Ambulance attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers said he had been identified as Przemyslaw Gebka, 42

Spalding area and the force would like to hear from anyone who may have seen him in the last few weeks.

Lincolnshire police said investigations were ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
