Old photographs of Poole depict the town’s appearance from 20 years ago.

The town’s scenery has changed over the years

Who doesn’t adore being by the sea? Ah, to be by the seashore. With its expansive harbor, apparently endless shoreline, millionaire’s row of Sandbanks, and other charming stores scattered around the town, Poole is a town rich in maritime history.

It makes sense that Poole has developed into a popular tourist attraction that draws thousands of visitors each year. In order to examine how Poole has evolved, DorsetLive has dug into its archives and retrieved old images of occasions, identifiable people, closed businesses, and the town’s appearance in the past.
