According to rumours, Arsenal are planning a deal for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke as a replacement for Ivan Toney.
Mikel Arteta’s team will most likely be looking for a new striker next month as they seek their first Premier League title in 20 years.
Toney of Brentford is Arsenal’s top target, but he will face competition from a number of other clubs.
Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in signing the Bees striker, who led the Premier League with 20 goals last season.
According to the Daily Star, if a deal for Toney fails to materialise, the north London club could turn to Bournemouth’s Solanke.
According to the rumours, the Cherries are willing to let him go but will expect roughly £50 million for him.
Solanke is believed to have impressed Arsenal with his hardworking displays, and the club believes he can still develop.
Solanke has scored nine goals in 17 Premier League appearances for the Cherries this season.
With goals against Newcastle, Aston Villa, and most recently Manchester United, the 26-year-old has played a significant role in their recovery.
West Ham United are also interested in Solanke and could make a bid for him next month if funds allow.
The former Chelsea and Liverpool striker scored again this weekend against Luton before the game was called off due to Tom Lockyer’s cardiac arrest.
