Report; Dembele reveals transfer Deal clash and what he won’t do at Birmingham City”

Siriki Dembele was interviewed by BirminghamLive for the most recent Birmingham City news following his outstanding performance against Huddersfield Town.

Siriki Dembele admitted he nearly joined the Terriers earlier in his career shortly after his game-winning performance against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

With two goals in a 4-1 rout of Huddersfield at St. Andrew’s, Dembele stole the show on his return to Birmingham City’s starting lineup. The 27-year-old scored his first goal inside the first three minutes and then finished off his hat trick in the second half by sweeping home a Koji Miyoshi assist.

Dembele, who was supposed to sign with Huddersfield in 2016 but had a failed physical owing to an injury, had a happy night. “This was back when I was younger,” he remarked. I couldn’t go since I had a medical that I failed.

Dembele has only recently made a full recovery from an injury that has delayed the beginning of his Blues career. On Tuesday, he was making only his fourth start of the year despite having three goals in the Championship.

“I’ve been injured a little bit, and I was just looking forward to playing football again,” Dembele said. “Everyone in the modern game (looks at numbers), but I personally don’t want to concentrate too much on it. I simply aim to have fun while playing football and make as many opportunities as I can. A goal was good to have.

To relieve Jay Stansfield of some of the pressure, John Eustace called on Dembele, Koji Miyoshi, and Jordan James, who came off the bench to add the fourth goal for the Blues in stoppage time. Stansfield, a striker on loan from Fulham, was the only Blues player to score during a trying month for the team

“That happens sometimes when there’s a goalscorer and it all becomes on him,” Dembele continued. Because everyone is on him if he doesn’t score, it can be a little unfair at times. 11 players are present on the field.
