EFL receives complaint over called off Bradford City match”

Barrow’s game with Bradford City at Holker Street was called off about an hour ahead of the scheduled kick-off time.

The Bluebirds say they believe the pitch was playable and are to make an official complaint to the EFL

It was reported that 900 Bradford supporters had made the trip; Barrow’s hospitality facilities were completely reserved; and City players had spent the night.

“We’re very disappointed to announce that the match officials have called the Sky Bet League Two match against Bradford City off,” Barrow said in a statement.

“We are really upset with this conclusion and feel that the pitch is playable.

“In due course, ticket information and a revised date for the match will be made available.

“We will file a complaint with the EFL after this.”

EFL would have to avail details as to why the game was called off abruptly when it seems clearly the that the pitch was usable.
