Exciting mews to turn Bantams season around#

The only bright spot in Saturday’s appalling loss at Swindon, which saw the Bantams fall two more spots to 18th in League Two, was Young’s appearance in the second half.

It extended the current losing streak to seven league games, and fans’ tempered attitudes are showing signs of weariness.

However, Gilliead thinks that Young’s comeback can provide something to hold onto during this slump.

The City midfielder remarked, “Whatever has gone in, he’s an honest lad who works hard.”

He demonstrated a few of his abilities.

We are glad to have him back on the team because he is a good player who has obviously scored a lot of goals in this league. He’s something different from what we have, in my opinion.

He poses a goal danger. Before he left last season, he was having success and had scored a few goals.

We are aware of his abilities, so maybe he can continue and score about ten more goals.

We placed a lot of emphasis on Andy Cook scoring goals because of what he accomplished the previous season.

“However, it must originate from all directions and bring Youngy back; he already has sixteen and there’s no reason why he can’t get many more.

“Cooky is the same; he won the Golden Boot the previous season, but occasionally we can’t get the service into him.”

Graham Alexander does not blame Swindon for the delay in Young’s City’s return.

Young only resumed full training last week, having missed the last few games of his loan due to an injury.

However, Alexander stated: “Throughout your career, you’re going to play a lot of time with niggles and injuries.” They are not held responsible by me.

Each player will inform managers and physiotherapists, stating, “I can get through this.” However, there are instances when they are forced to raise their hand because they are unable to continue.

“There are many players who struggle week in and week out while playing.

“Players need to be resilient and have a pain threshold, but not to the point where they run the danger of getting hurt again.

There are instances in which you can overcome obstacles. It’s challenging, but this is the time for young players in particular to develop their body awareness and self-confidence.

It’s about training and putting yourself in the best possible position to play 50 games a season. Swindon is not held accountable for that particular aspect.

Alexander insists that despite City rejecting three bids during the window, he has maintained a calm attitude regarding Young’s circumstances.

“I didn’t really look that far ahead,” the City manager continued. “As I have stated from the beginning, we must be prepared to adjust through January.”

“I was ready for anything that might come up along the way, but I also knew what I wanted in the end.

“I’m really happy with how we’ve handled holding onto Jake in the face of pressure from other clubs to sell him.

Jake was willing to participate when I discussed getting involved with him on Friday.

He moved well and had a sharp appearance. His left-footed shot from the edge of the box looked to be in, and the keeper made a fantastic save.

“We need to bring him up to speed, but I think he will bring what he has to us. He didn’t train until last week, and Thursday was his first official day of training.

“We were aware that he was limited to the bench.

It’s about getting to know a person and discovering what makes him shine. Watch how things work out.
