Fluctuating fortunes for Bantams as Bluebirds dives ahead of clash”

Barrow have lost three in a row before Bradford City’s visit

The Bluebirds held the third automatic berth, while the visitors from tomorrow languished in 18th place, 16 points behind.

After three games, the disparity has decreased to seven points and seven positions.

The Cumbrian team’s recent comeback in League Two has coincided with a hat-trick of defeats against Salford, Forest Green, and Wimbledon.

Barrow’s decline is concerning as they have only triumphed twice in their last 11 games.

In that period, they have given up 22 goals, five of which came last weekend at Salford, as opposed to only three goals allowed in the ten games prior.

Pete Wild, the former manager of Halifax, has received a tonne of praise for making one of the smaller teams in the division competitive for promotion.

Furthermore, he maintains that their present form dip won’t stop them from achieving their goals.

He said to the North West Mail, our sister publication, “We’re all trying ever so hard.” “You cannot disparage the boys’ efforts.

“We cannot blame others and turn the issue into a catastrophe. You don’t suddenly turn into a terrible team.

“You have to go through difficult weeks, and this is our first one of the season.

“Over the course of the 46-game season, there will undoubtedly be times when you look good and others when you don’t.

Sadly, that is currently who we are. Nothing has changed in the way we defend.

“But in the important moments, it’s about people accepting responsibility.”

Cole Stockton, who joined Holker Street on loan from Burton during the January transfer window and has scored four goals in his previous four games, is someone City has to watch out for.

However, Jamie Proctor, a previous loanee striker for the Bantams, is still unavailable due to his recent red card for an incident that occurred off the field against Wimbledon.

After Proctor entered a guilty plea to an FA allegation of “acting in a manner which was improper towards a match official,” he was automatically banned for three matches; however, this sentence has subsequently been extended.
