Mark Hughes: Former Wales boss sacked as Bradford City manager

Former Wales boss Mark Hughes has been sacked as Bradford City manager with the team 18th in League Two.

The 59-year-old guided the Bantams to the play-offs last season but they have only won three out of 11 games since the start of the 2023-24 campaign.

Assistant boss Glyn Hodges has also left the club, with Kevin McDonald named interim player-manager.

“After 11 league games we find ourselves a long way away from where we expect to be,” said CEO Ryan Sparks.
