Police are continuing to search for Habibur Masum and have warned the public not to approach him.
A manhunt continues after the fatal stabbing of a woman who was pushing a baby in a pram.
At 3:21 PM on Saturday, West Yorkshire Police published photos of a man they were looking for in connection with the incident in Bradford’s downtown.
The 25-year-old Habibur Masum comes from the Oldham region and has ties to Chester and Burnley. He’s described as a slim-built Asian male.
Following reports that a guy had stabbed a woman and then left the scene, police were contacted.
After being brought to the hospital, she passed away from her wounds.
Although the victim’s exact age is unknown, it is believed to be 27.
Masum was seen on CCTV sporting light blue or grey tracksuit pants with a small black insignia on the left, and a duffle coat with three huge horizontal lines of grey, white, and black.
Additionally, a witness claimed to have seen him with the hood up on a grey hoodie.
A shopkeeper who talked with Sky News claimed that the victim was attacked while pushing a baby in a pram.
He hurried to assist the woman.
“She was lying down. I tried; myself and another person tried it. But it appears she was absent,” he remarked.
He said he saw the victim and her child the morning before she passed away.
“The youngster is quite tiny. I believe it’s been between two and four months, roughly,” he continued.
“She was constantly strolling alongside them.
“What is he going to do when he grows up without mother?”
‘Screaming’ alerted neighbours to ‘tragedy’
Joanna Coates, a local resident, heard what she now believes was screaming from the attack, but hadn’t realised what was going on.
Speaking to Sky News, she said: “All I heard was screaming and shouting ‘get off’. It was that bad screaming even my daughter woke up and heard it. She’s 16.
“I thought it was people on drugs, fighting over the drugs, there’s screaming all the time round this area. If I knew I would’ve gone and helped her.”
She added she thought it was “disgusting” what had happened.
