Four people injured following restaurant car crash in Bradford

Following a single car collision on Thursday at 12.10 a.m., emergency personnel rushed to Listerhills Road.

The Lahore Butt Karahi restaurant’s front was struck by the Volkswagen Polo.

She was examined, according to West Yorkshire Police, and three other people received hospital treatment for minor wounds.

Police set up a perimeter around the location after the incident.

In addition, four ambulances arrived, and personnel from Bradford Fire Station conducted building-wide person evacuations.

Mr Khan said the scene was full of police cars, firefighters, and paramedics.

He said: “I just can’t believe it. I’ve never seen anything like this. I’ve been up all night – my head is spinning.”

Gas systems were being disconnected and scaffolding crews were at the scene amid concerns the building was structurally unsafe, said Mr Khan.

Northern Gas Networks’ Business Operations Lead, Chris Green, stated: “Our engineers responded to the scene at the fire department’s request and turned off the gas supply to the building.

“No gas apparatus was damaged.”

A spokesperson for the service said: “We received an emergency call at midnight on Thursday evening to report a collision between a car and building on Listerhills Road in Bradford.

“Four ambulances, the Hazardous Area Response Team and a team leader were dispatched to the scene and four patients were conveyed to Bradford Royal Infirmary.”

A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called at 12.08am to reports of a one-vehicle road traffic collision into a building on Listerhills Road.

“The driver, a woman aged 26 years old, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

A spokesperson for the service said: “We were called at 12.22am this morning to reports of a dangerous structure on Listerhills Road in Bradford.

“This was found to be a car that had crashed into a building.

“One crew from Bradford attended and evacuated people from the surrounding building.

“We left the scene at 2.11am.”
