Two arrests for murder after man’s body found in Bradford today morning

The death of a man at a Bradford property has led to the suspicion of murder against two persons.

Just before 8 a.m. today, West Yorkshire Police stated that they were called to a complaint of a “serious ongoing incident” at Shetland Close. That’s when they discovered the man’s body.

On the site were also firefighters. They extinguished an internal fire.

Investigators stated that in order to formally identify the man and locate his family, “priority enquiries” were being conducted.

On suspicion of murder, a 52-year-old lady and a 26-year-old man have been taken into custody.

From the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team of West Yorkshire Police, Det Ch Insp Matt Holdsworth stated: “My team is working to establish the circumstances that led to the man’s death.”

“We are not searching for anyone else in relation to this event; we currently have two individuals under custody.

This incident happened on a normally calm residential street. I am aware that there is a lot of conjecture on what happened and who was involved, and that this occurrence has raised concerns in the larger community. Anyone with information, please share it with us.”

He claimed that CCTV was being examined in addition to doing door-to-door inquiries.

On King’s Road, the land backs onto a Goals sports complex.

“We are also asking anyone who was using the pitches yesterday afternoon who may have seen or heard anything out of the ordinary to please report,” Det Ch Insp Holdsworth continued.

Pictures from the scene showed dozens of police, including forensics officers, and firefighters carrying out investigations.Police said extra patrols would be carried out in the area following the incident.
