Bristol City stance on £4m striker deal

Lassine Sinayoko might be signed by Bristol City if Auxerre drops the £4 million fee.
When Sinayoko played for Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations last season, he scored eight goals.
Bristol City hasn’t placed a bid yet. The transfer market is open, and Sinayoko’s contract is about to expire.

According to a report from Bristol Live, Bristol City is interested in signing AJ Auxerre striker Lassine Sinayoko during the summer transfer window—but only if the French team is willing to lower their £4 million asking price.

Having played for Auxerre his whole senior career, Sinayoko scored eight goals in 34 league appearances the previous season to assist the team earn promotion as second-tier Champions to the French top flight.

In addition, he has 19 senior international caps for Mali and has scored five goals in that time. He also played in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
With the transfer market open, it appears that the Championship is beginning to take an interest in that form.

Bristol City keen on Lassine Sinayoko

According to this most recent update, Bristol City is considering a possible summer signing of Auxerre’s Sinayoko.

The Robins have reportedly inquired about the striker’s availability, but they have not yet made an official approach for him, according to reports.

That being said, unless Auxerre drops their asking price, it is believed that they will not be bringing Sinayoko to Ashton Gate this summer.

The recently promoted Ligue 1 team is anticipated to want a sum of money around to £4 million in order to get Sinayoko this summer.

The striker’s contract with Auxerre currently has just 12 months left on it, which guarantees his stay in France through the end of the following campaign.

If he doesn’t sign a new contract, it may mean that this summer is their last opportunity to make money off of him. It’s also possible that other teams may become interested in Sinayoko.

As for Bristol City, they haven’t made any acquisitions since the summer transfer window opened.

Liam Manning’s team placed 11th in the Championship table the previous year, 11 points outside the play-off spots and 12 points clear of the relegation zone.

Lassine Sinayoko could be a good addition at Ashton Gate

If the Robins could complete the signing of Sinayoko, it appears that it would be a beneficial addition.

This summer, Bristol City appears to be in dire need of offensive reinforcements, and that appears to be a top priority for them.

They would be getting a guy who can perform a crucial function for them if they brought in someone like Sinayoko, who can play in multiple forward roles.

In fact, the 24-year-old may definitely have an impact for the Robins after earning promotion this season and making an impression at the Africa Cup of Nations.
