Young boy seriously injured in city centre knife attack

A cordon was set up at The Horsefair following a knife attack

A little child was attacked in Bristol’s downtown, resulting in significant injuries. After the stabbing attack yesterday evening (June 28), the 13-year-old victim was taken to the hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or transformative. His family members are informed.

At around 7:40 p.m., police were called to the area at the intersection of Hanover Court, Concorde Street, and The Horsefair. After the attack, police think a few young people left the neighbourhood.

Around Cabot Circus, witnesses saw a significant emergency services presence. “Many police cars and an ambulance at Cabot Circus this evening by McDonald’s with police tape,” one individual commented. Seems grave.”

“An investigation is well underway to identify the suspects, and our enquiries will continue at pace today,” stated DCI Ben Lavender. We will provide the boy’s family with any support they require and will keep them informed of our progress.We would urge anyone who witnessed what transpired or who has access to useful mobile phone, dashcam, or doorbell footage to get in touch with us.

The attack is currently being looked into by Avon and Somerset Police, who are also requesting witnesses. It is requested that anyone with information that could help the authorities phone the 101 reference number.
