Bristol Rovers Decided on Matt Taylor lately..

PRIOR Matt Taylor, the manager of Rotherham United, is being closely connected to a swift return to the dugout at Bristol Rovers, a team in League One.

After leading the Millers for little over a year, Taylor was fired on Monday. It is said that he will have discussions with the managerless West Country team, who fired Joey Barton towards the end of last month.

The Rovers board has taken into consideration a variety of candidates, including caretaker manager Andy Mangan, former Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, and Middlesbrough manager Garry Monk, and former Leeds number two Karl Robinson.

In addition to coaching the Grecians, Taylor was a player for Bath City, Team Bath, Cheltenham Town, and Exeter City in the West.

Rovers aim to identify a manager by the time they play their next game, which is against Derby County on Saturday.

According to reports, Prince Abdullah, the owner of Sheffield United, has reached an agreement to sell one of the Blades’ sister teams, while another is “100%” for sale.

The Prince has approved the sale of crisis club Chateauroux to the holding firm of French tycoon Benjamin Gufflet, Stratton Oakmont Sports, according to L’Équipe.

Gufflet also has a rugby club in second division in France. Gufflet must reassure the French football authorities about his financial plans for the club prior to finalising any agreement. The Prince is in charge of the United World network of clubs, which also includes establishments in Dubai, France, and Belgium.

One of the teams is Beerschot, a Belgian team that has announced that it is “100% for sale” after the Prince and minority shareholders Francis Vrancken and Philippe Verellen expressed interest in selling their shares in the Belgian team. According to reports, discussions with American and British investors are still ongoing, and United’s owner is almost ready to divest himself of even more of his shares in European football.

Football League worries over the Prince’s riches and its sources caused bids to sell the Blades to Henry Mauriss and Dozy Mmobuosi to fail in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Barnsley, a League One team, will have 1,800 sold-out supporters when they play their league debut against Lincoln City the next weekend.
