On minute sixteen, Josh Vela pounced on a deep pass and fired home to break the game.

Chris Martin, a striker for Bristol Rovers, tied the score on minute 34. Early in the second half, hosts Scott Sinclair scored a fantastic goal into the top corner to secure all three points.

Armstrong and Jon Mellis both had opportunities to score from point blank range after United’s early second-half corner, but neither was able to give us the lead again.

The hosts took the lead on minute 51 when Scott Sinclair cut in from the left and curled a shot past Harry Lewis into the far corner.

Fifteen minutes later, Kamil Conteh scrambled back to clear the danger as the Blues attempted to catch the Gas on the break after Vela picked up Diamond running forward.

Jack Ellis was introduced and soon after, he slid a pass down the line to Diamond, who won United a corner that Lavelle met. Harrison Neal also had a chance on the outskirts of the box, but neither player was able to test Jed Ward in the Bristol Rovers goal.

On minute 78, the hosts had another chance to extend their lead, but Lewis deflected the first shot onto the post, and then Vaughan shot, only to have it flagged offside.

After a Jack Hunt cross from the right, Ellis cleared the danger to save the Blues in the 82nd minute.

Martin had an opportunity to seal the three points for his team on minute 88, but he missed the mark with a shot from within the Carlisle area.

On minute ninety-five, Lavelle had a great chance to level the score after a free kick, but our captain missed the mark.
