Boy stabbed to death in Bristol

Death of 16 year-old comes weeks after two boys were stabbed to death in the Knowle West area of the city

After two guys in masks attacked a 16-year-old in a Bristol park, a murder inquiry has been opened.

At 1 p.m. on Tuesday , officers responded to reports of an injured youngster at Rawnsley Park, which is close to the Easton neighbourhood of the city. The teenager passed away at the site despite efforts by emergency personnel to save his life.

He was attacked in a nearby park, according to Avon and Somerset Police, by two individuals who rode away on bicycles. The boy was stabbed, then fled to the neighbouring Stapleton Road, where he passed out and a driver tried to save him.

Following the deaths of two additional teenage boys in the city’s Knowle West neighbourhood in January, there has been another tragedy. After the fatal stabbings of 15-year-old Mason Rist and 16-year-old Max Dixon on Monday, June 17, twelve persons have been taken into custody.

“We were called by the ambulance service at 10 Am to a report that a boy had been found injured on the A420 West Street,” a police spokesperson stated on Thursday morning. Sadly, he passed away at the scene despite the rescue services’ best attempts.

Two masked individuals attacked the victim at Rawnsley Park, then they rode off on bicycles. The victim was attacked, fled to Stapleton Road, and was helped by a driver there before collapsing at West Street.

“A critical incident has been declared, and detectives have now launched a murder investigation to identify those responsible.”

A force spokesman announced that there will be more patrols in the area after officers looked over CCTV footage.

“Tragically, we have lost another young life from our city in absolutely horrific circumstances,” said Supt. Mark Runacres, Commander of Bristol.

“Officers will continue to support the victim’s family during what will undoubtedly be an extremely trying time. Our thoughts are with them.”

“We will stop at nothing to ensure that those responsible are held accountable. That is our commitment.

“There is no concrete evidence to suggest this is connected to other recent incidents in the city, but we are keeping an open mind.”
