Man’s death after assault in Bristol sparks murder probe

A guy was attacked in Bristol early on Saturday morning, and as a result, police have opened a murder inquiry.

After a “disturbance” in a nightclub in the Stokes Croft neighbourhood of the city, the guy, in his 30s, was rushed to the hospital; however, he passed away two hours later, according to Avon and Somerset Police.

The commotion in the Blue Mountain Club on Moon Street occurred at approximately three in the morning, according to the force, which is requesting that anyone with information about the incident come forward.

This afternoon, a guy in his 30s was taken into custody on suspicion of murder.

A spokesman said: “A man who was assaulted was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died at about 5am from his injuries.

‘We have a number of areas cordoned off in connection with the investigation and our inquiries are continuing.

‘However we can confirm that the death of the man in his thirties is being treated as murder.’
