A man has been arrested after a woman reported being sexually assaulted in Bristol. Avon and Somerset Police said the alleged offence took place in Stapleton on Saturday, June 22.
A woman, aged in her 40s, told police she had been sexually assaulted while walking along Wickham Glen, a path linking Park Road and the Frome Valley Walkway, at around 1pm. A man, aged in his 30s, was subsequently arrested yesterday afternoon,
Avon and Somerset Police said: “Additional high-visibility reassurance patrols are being carried out by local officers and we’d encourage anyone with concerns to please speak to them.

“We continue to ask anyone who can assist our enquires, or may have been a victim of a similar offence and not yet reported to police, to please to contact us online or call 101 and quote reference number 5224156250 or complete our online appeals form.”
