Boy, dies in Bromley motorbike crash

Late last night (Sunday), a crash in South London claimed the life of a 17-year-old kid. Before being detained, the other adolescent guy who was with him was transported to the hospital.

An off-duty police officer in Biggin Hill discovered them on a major road.


Although the car did not stop at the site, detectives suspect that the motorbike may have been in close proximity to it at the time of the crash.

The driver is being sought for by the police.

Biggin Hill’s Main Road is closed in both ways between Saltbox Hill and Sunningvale Avenue as of midnight.

Due to the investigation work, the following six London buses were diverted: 246, 320, 464, 664, 684, and R2.

An off-duty police officer discovered a motorbike that had been involved in an accident on Main Road, Biggin Hill, at approximately 11:58 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, according to a spokeswoman for the Met Police. Before the London Ambulance Service arrived, first assistance was given to two male youths.

“Sadly, one of the boys, who was seventeen, was declared dead at the site despite the efforts of rescue personnel. Specialised officers have been notified and will provide help to his family.

“After being brought to the hospital, the condition of the second individual was determined to not be life-threatening. He was brought to a police station in south London after being arrested.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.59pm on Sunday , to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Main Road and Sunningvale Avenue, Biggin Hill. We sent ambulance crew and paramedics in fast response cars to the scene.

“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in approximately five minutes. Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
