Nets’ Mikal Bridges on loss to Bucks: gotta how to win

Nets’ Mikal Bridges on loss to Bucks: ‘gotta know how to win games.

Fresh York — This season, the Brooklyn Nets have already played in several games when the outcome may have depended on one or two plays towards the finish. Unfortunately, Mikal Bridges is telling it like it is, and Brooklyn has typically lost those close games.

After trailing the Milwaukee Bucks 129-125 on Monday after scoring 31 points, Bridges stated, “We just got to know how to win games at the end.” Monday’s game seemed a lot like the six out of seven Brooklyn has played this season: they play competitively for most of the game, but a play or two in favour of the other team helps them pull away in the end.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the standout player for the Bucks, made some incredible plays at the rim this time to further complicate the Nets’ already difficult comeback. Bridges thinks Brooklyn can win these games to end them even if they are losing. Bridges remarked, “We just need to keep doing it—against elite teams like Milwaukee.”

Five of Brooklyn’s seven games this season—including Monday’s loss to the Bucks—have been decided by five points or less. The Nets will likely play in a lot of close games this season, which will give them plenty of opportunity to practise clutch play.
