Buffalo Bills offence speech ahead of the Chiefs game..

Leonard Fournette hasn’t played a snap for the Bills this season, but he said he’s ready to go ahead of their big games against the Chiefs

This season, the Buffalo Bills offence hasn’t exactly looked like it was supposed to, and Leonard Fournette has felt this more than other players. In an attempt to provide the Bills running back depth, Fournette signed a contract at the end of October. However, since then, he has sat on the bench for every game while Ty Johnson, James Cook, and Latavius Murray receive all of Buffalo’s carries.

Despite his lacklustre role in the Bills offence, Fournette—who was the starting running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers only a season ago—hasn’t given up on his new team. Fournette gave everyone confidence that he is familiar with the Bills offence and that he will be ready to play when his number is called ahead of a crucial game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I’m at ease and informed. Man, I’m prepared. Just awaiting my chance. Naturally, this is my first real experience in this role, so you know, I have my days. I believe it’s testing my faith, humbling me, and everything, but I’m improving. – The Buffalo News’ Leonard Fournette

Should the Bills put Leonard Fournette to work against the Chiefs?

It’s been a little unexpected to see the Bills choose Johnson over Fournette as their third running back, but you can’t really blame them for keeping Fournette off the field given their recent on-field success. Although Fournette isn’t a bad runner, it appears that the Bills have boxed him out of a position ever since he signed with them.

It seems unlikely that he will suit up in Week 14 unless one of the three players ahead of him ends up being inactive. However, perhaps his claims here will earn him a spot on the gameday roster against the Chiefs. Fournette has had a difficult season, and although there is no question that he is ready to play, it is unclear when he will actually start the season in Buffalo.
