Tragedy befalls Bundaberg as Woman killed, child and man in serious conditions after crash

A woman has been killed, and a little girl and a man were seriously injured when two cars crashed on a Queensland road.

The vehicles collided at the intersection of Gin Gin Mount Perry Rd and Gillens Siding Rd in Moolboolaman, near Bundaberg, about 7.42am on Saturday.

A Queensland Ambulance Spokesperson said paramedics assessed three people at the scene for multiple injuries before calling rescue helicopters for backup.

A 32-year-old woman driving a red Holden Commodore was assessed by paramedics in a critical condition but died at the scene.

Her passenger, a nine-year-old girl, was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical but stable condition with head and chest injuries.

A 24-year-old man driving a white Isuzu D-Max utility was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with serious pelvic injuries, in a stable condition, the spokesperson said.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area, or to expect long delays.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.

Investigations are ongoing.
