Kompany injury update ahead of must-win Fulham clash’

Vincent Kompany is hopeful of having one more player back from injury for Burnley’s must-win clash against Fulham tomorrow.

Charlie Taylor, Hannes Delcroix, and Jordan Beyer were not in Burnley’s starting lineup for their 3-1 loss to Manchester City in the middle of the week.

To now, Kompany has refused to divulge information about their absences and the severity of any knocks they may have sustained.

However, speaking ahead of tomorrow’s return to Turf Moor, the Clarets boss did suggest there could be some positive news for at least one of the three.

“I don’t know about the rest, but maybe one of the names you mentioned [could be back],” he remarked.

“Everyone received their load on Wednesday night, and the full picture will be available after our training session on Friday before Fulham.”

Kompany went on, “We just need to make sure we get the recovery right because it didn’t look like we picked up any injuries [from the Man City game].”

“It looks like the team is ready to go to Fulham.”

Elsewhere, Luca Koleosho and Nathan Redmond remain long-term absentees.

As for Fulham, Harry Wilson is struggling with a shoulder problem while Raul Jimenez and Issa Diop both have hamstring issues.

Adama Traore is out with a thigh injury, while Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey are still at the African Cup of Nations with Nigeria.
