Road closed as man die in horror crash in Burnley

On Friday, July 26, at approximately 1:15 p.m., police were called to Anchorsholme Lane East in Cleveleys. There, they discovered that a Dacia Duster Laureate car, which was travelling eastward from North Drive, had crossed the carriageway and collided with a Toyota Proace Active car. The driver of the Dacia, a 76-year-old man, was taken to the hospital but was tragically later pronounced dead. “Our thoughts and loved ones at this distressing time, and they are being supported by specially trained officers,” a police spokesperson said.

Witnesses and anyone driving in the vicinity at the time with dashcam footage are being sought after by the investigating police officers into the collision.
