Major road closure in Camberley after ghastly crash as rescue team struggle to save victims

That afternoon, a serious collision involving a van and a car stopped traffic on the M3 motorway. The incident happened shortly after the A322/Lightwater/Bagshot Junction 3 in a southerly direction.

All lanes had been blocked to give emergency personnel time to respond to the situation while they were on the scene. Traffic cameras captured the lines quickly growing longer due to the closure.

There was a diversion in place. Following the Solid Triangle symbol, drivers were to get off the M3 at Junction 3, travel on the A30 through Bagshot and Camberley, and then get back on the motorway.

Even now, all lanes are being maintained while emergency personnel handle the situation.

Two women having their injuries evaluated

It has been confirmed by Surrey Fire and Rescue that there was a collision between cars. One car and one van were involved. Thankfully, no one was trapped in the fire engine when two fire engines carrying fire crews arrived on the scene. At the scene, two female casualties are presently undergoing an assessment for injuries.

The road is closed and all traffic is being held.

Everybody stopped driving. heading west

National Highways has confirmed that all traffic has now stopped on the westbound carriageway in Surrey. A multi-vehicle collision has caused it to stop between J3 (Lightwater) and J4 (Farnborough). The collision is believed to have involved a van and three cars. At this point, it’s unknown if anyone was hurt. There are emergency services present.

As of 1:50 p.m., according to the camera, all lanes are being held to make room for the fire engines. A different accident is still going on over on the other side.

“Thanks for your patience if you’re held up,” National Highways continued.

It looks that there have been incidents on the M3’s two carriageways close to Bagshot.

Two of the three lanes are closed, and National Highways confirmed that emergency personnel and traffic officers are present. The approach is delayed by thirty minutes.

What is currently known

A collision has occurred on the northbound M3.
It has happened between J3 A322 (Lightwater / Bagshot) and J4 A331 Blackwater Valley Route (Camberley).
