Pedestrian ‘trapped against building’ by car following collision on A30 in Camberley

A pedestrian was “trapped against a building” by a car following a collision in Camberley.

The collision occurred on the A30 London Road at 9.14 pm on Thursday and resulted in the pedestrian, a woman, being trapped against the building by a white BMW.

It is believed the car crashed into the Chilli Spice restaurant.

Officers were assisted at the scene by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service who freed the woman. She was then treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital by air ambulance.

Surrey Police is now appealing for witnesses.

Sergeant Patrick Parker from Surrey’s Roads Policing Unit said: “This happened on the main road through Camberley at a time when there would still have been people out and about.

“While we have spoken to several witnesses about what happened, I would urge anyone else who saw what happened, in particular the manner of driving of the white BMW before the collision, to get in touch.”
