Man stabbed to death and road closed in Canterbury

The man was taken to a local hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds, which are not life-threatening

Kent Police are investigating a stabbing in Canterbury. Police were called at 3.20am on Sunday, April 21 following a report a man had been assaulted in Canterbury Lane.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the man was taken to a local hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds, which are not life-threatening. It has since been reported that the incident followed an earlier argument outside Cousins Pool and Snooker Lounge in Lower Bridge Street.

An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing and anyone who witnessed what happened, or has information about the earlier incident, is asked to call 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/64176/24.
