Cardiff City manager Fumes with players following Defeat.

Callum Robinson and Josh Bowler’s goals in the first half put Cardiff ahead 2-1 after 81 minutes, but the visiting team won all three points with to two goals in the final three minutes.

As a result, they lost ground in the Championship standings and now lie in ninth place, outside of the play-off spots, after starting the weekend in seventh place. The outcome was unexpected for the host team, ending their six-game league home unbeaten streak.

Their only other league home loss this season came in a 2-1 loss to QPR in August. This is only their second home loss of the season. This season, the Bluebirds have won 16 of their 24 points at home, which is an improvement than their 25 points they earned at Cardiff City Stadium over the whole campaign the previous year.

Along with ending their three-game winning streak in the Championship, the setback was the Bluebirds’ first league goal allowed since their 1-0 loss to Blackburn Rovers in late October.

According to the manager, Bulut’s team struggled to sustain their performance in the second half after a solid first half.

Bulut said the following during his press conference following the game: “Today we saw two different 45 minutes.” We ruled the first part of it. We let up the corner kick goal and fought back with two goals, albeit we had the opportunity to score a third or maybe a fourth.

“However, the game lasts for ninety minutes, so we couldn’t play that way on the pitch. In the second half, I was expecting my team to play like we did in the first,” he said.

The head coach of the Bluebirds also expressed his displeasure with the way his team gave up the goals that ultimately caused them to lose.

We lost balls too quickly, were not focused, didn’t fight, and gave the opposition opportunities. The way we anticipated they would react to the long balls behind us was perfect.

This is not how we can give up ambitions. We practiced the first goal from the corner kick. A corner kick was also used for the third goal. This is not possible. The 48-year-old said, “We had hoped to win three points today, but we are down to zero.

Due to an injury, fullback Perry Ng was unable to play in the match, although Bulut thinks he will be back after the international break.

It’s not serious, in my opinion. A kick had landed on his knee. His tendon. In remarks on the injury following the game, Bulut stated, “The medical department said he would not be available.”

Following the international break, the Bluebirds will play an away game against Preston North End, who are currently ranked fifth.

Writer’s Opinion

Cardiff City’s six-game home undefeated record came to an end yesterday as they threw away a lead late in the match. It was a sad outcome. The Bluebirds now have a lengthy wait until they can make up for the mistake, with some challenging games ahead of them, which has come at the worst possible moment leading up to the international break.

Cardiff has still had a very strong start to the season overall, and they will be looking to sustain their play-off push come January 1st by returning to winning ways.
