Yesterday, the Tigers’ investor Martin Jepson took to the club’s social media to provide an update on the club since his investment back in December. During that, Jepson assured fans that he and his team were confident of Castleford Tigers’ Super League status in 2025.
As a welcome boost just after the club confirmed the re-signing of George Hill and that’s now been followed by news of Qareqare’s extension too. Jepson had identified a key focus on youth as he confirmed that ten academy players had been retained and now they’ve tied down their 19 and 20-year-old starlets.

The Castleford Tigers have officially announced that George Hill and Jason Qareqare have extended their contracts. The two young players have signed two-year and three-year deals, respectively.

The news of Qareqare’s renewal comes as a nice boost just after the club announced George Hill’s re-signing. When he revealed that ten academy awards, Jepson had recognized the importance of young.

The news of Qareqare’s new contract this morning appears to have gone over extremely well with Castleford Tigers supporters, as the flyer is a fan favorite at Wheldon Road when healthy.
They’ll hope he has better fortune with injuries during the next two seasons with his signature now confirmed.
The club shared a statement confirming the news: “Castleford Tigers are pleased to announce that Fiji International Jason Qareqare has signed a two-year contract extension!”
