The two clubs have kept away punters out since last season
Celtic and Rangers have reportedly discussed ideas to allow away fans back into derby games this season.
Both teams have been involved in a dispute over tickets for visiting fans, and there has been a lockout in recent games between the two teams. Celts allowed no Gers fans inside Parkhead during their 2-1 triumph last month despite a plea from the Ibrox club, and last season was the same, with the final two games of the term between the two played out in front of home supporters alone.
According to the Times, discussions have begun with the goal of granting 750 briefs for both matches at Ibrox, first on April 6, and then at Celtic Park for the last game following the split.
According to the report, the SPFL has encouraged the rivals to work together to find a solution following concerns raised regarding supporter safety at both sites on Derby Day. Celtic rejected down a 750-person allocation due to concerns.
The feud continues, as it has since 2018, when Steven Gerrard took over as Rangers’ manager and the ticket allocation for Celtic fans on Derby Day was reduced from the typical 8,000 to accommodate home fans.
