Celtic in the midst of a crisis? Not really, but a resolution is necessary

The recent developments that we reported on yesterday further stoke a fire that should never have been started in the first place. The divide between the Green Brigade and the Celtic Board has been a big talking point for the past few weeks.

Personally, I think the board’s handling of the impacted North Curve supporters was inappropriate. We all know the true cause of their cocky demeanour, and it’s not what they say, in my opinion.

However, a sizable portion of the fan base disagrees with the Green Brigade on this issue and supports the club’s stance as stated in the email sent earlier this week to all season ticket holders.

It is up to everyone else to raise the team’s spirits and make noise at tomorrow’s game as there won’t be any Green Brigade or Bhoys present. The fact that the absent Ultras aren’t here won’t depress the fifty thousand or so of us that attend home games we will support the team loud and proud, against Aberdeen tomorrow afternoon and beyond, as we always do.

I’m confident that all of the supporters who are siding with the club rather than the Green Brigade in this dispute will think the same thing.

Outside forces, like the mainstream media, will undoubtedly try to capitalise on this and unnerve us, but we must resist them; for heaven’s sake, don’t give them the satisfaction or even the clicks.

Despite appearances, everything appears to be going well. Yes, we were dealt a cruel blow in Madrid, but we are still the winners. We are leading the table by eight points and appear to be in a strong position for three straight, but we can’t let this run of results get in the way of the team picking up the three points in each game as we strive towards retaining our title

Does Celtic currently face a crisis? Not much; there is a dispute, but both sides have indicated that they are open to speaking with one another and trying to find a solution.

In the best case scenario, that occurs this coming week. At that point, everyone will be aware of their positions and what is and is not acceptable, and we can all return to enjoying Glasgow Celtic’s performances.

A regular fan of Celtics who was born and raised in Govan, hidden from the enemy’s shadows. I own a season ticket. Since 1988, I have gone to Celtic games whenever I can. I witnessed my first Celtic game that year. I saw Celtic at their worst when I was a child growing up in the 1990s, and I now cherish the historic success we have now. I wish to continue blogging about this fantastic football club since I enjoy doing so. I have always had a strong passion for writing and began as a hobby. My goal is to one day write as well as my fellow Celtic Star coworkers.
