Celtic target would be a ‘very attractive’ transfer option this summer as Israeli set to leave’

Despite the Scottish market being closed, the Irishman is continuing work to shift several players out of the door as he continues to build his squad at Parkhead.

After his well-documented off-field issues, Israeli winger Liel Abada is reportedly about to depart the Bhoys for Charlotte for a sum in the neighbourhood of £10 million.

Now that the 22-year-old has finished his medical, it appears that his planned departure will soon be official.

In other news, Alexandro Bernabei looks to be making another unexpected move, this time to Brazilian powerhouse Internacional.

Cesar Luis Merlo, an Argentine journalist, said via translation on the social media platform X: “Alexandro Bernabei is Inter’s new reinforcement.” He travels from Glasgow Celtic. Scotland-based sources attest that it’s already a #TratoHecho.

Naturally, there will be some concern about Greg Taylor’s potential replacement at left back in the event of an injury or suspension. Mitchel Frame and Anthony Ralston are the most likely options to step in.

Although losing players in the middle of the season isn’t ideal for Rodgers, there is definitely a plan to free up salary for summer additions.

Callum O’Hare, a midfielder for Coventry City whose contract expires at the end of this season, is a target for Celtic, according to sources from south of the border last week.

The 25-year-old is also being pursued by Southampton, our bitter rivals Rangers, and two English teams from La Liga, Fulham and Everton, in addition to three other clubs.
Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman believes that O’Hare would be a ‘very attractive option’ for the Bhoys and other interested suitors with a sense of ambition.

“The difference with Callum O’Hare is his contract is up in literally months, and that makes him a very attractive option for Premier League clubs and ambitious clubs,” he said [Football League World].

“I enjoy him.” I really enjoy him. I’ve seen him grow every time I’ve seen him. He’s always had the ability to dribble past people and obstacles, but occasionally it comes down to decisions, like as how many guys you dribble past before passing or whether you shoot, dribble, pass, or cross.

It appears that he is becoming increasingly astute at football. At 25, he’s in his prime. This season, with just 14 starts following a catastrophic injury, six goals and three assists.

“I think he’s got the ability to play in the Premier League, and as a free transfer, it’s absolutely a gamble that I think a lot of Premier League clubs, probably out with the massive ones, should be able to look at.”

Celtic target Callum O’Hare has enjoyed a fine season

O’Hare has been in excellent form for Coventry City this season, making 25 appearances across all competitions and tallying nine goals and four assists [Transfermarkt].

It is, of course, alluring that he may be a free agent in the summer, but it might be challenging to persuade the midfield player to choose Parkhead despite the Premier League’s financial incentives.

Though it could be interesting to follow this one as it develops, a lot will rely on how the Celtic team appears in the summer.
