Celtic three-man January shopping list revealed’

According to Football Insider, Celtic will want to sign a striker, a central midfielder, and a left winger in the January transfer window.

Brendan Rodgers is said to be looking for a centre-forward as he prepares to lose Kyogo Furuhashi and Oh Hyeon-gyu for the Asian Cup in the new year.

According to Football Insider, the manager is also eager to add goals to the engine room by bringing in a productive central midfielder.

Celtic are anticipated to be quite active in the winter transfer window, and Rodgers is confident that signings in these three areas would strengthen his limited squad.

With current number one Joe Hart’s contract scheduled to end in the summer, a new long-term custodian could be brought in, but this is not seen to be a priority in January.

Despite making seven senior signings in the summer, including Odin Thiago Holm, Luis Palma, and Maik Narwocki, the Hoops are anticipated to return to the market this winter.

Sources have also told Football Insider (26 December) that Premier League side West Ham are keeping close tabs on star midfielder Matt O’Riley

However, sources told Football Insider (27 December) that despite interest from various top-flight English clubs, the Hoops do not want to sell O’Riley in January.

Celtic are still top of the Scottish Premiership after a 3-0 away win over Dundee on Boxing Day, and they face rivals Rangers at home on Saturday (30 December).
