Forget John McGinn, concentrate on current crop of Celtic stars
I was very surprised to hear last night that John McGinn was a Celtic target back in 2018, but due to financial differences he never signed for the club and opted to head south and sign for Aston Villa instead.
Did it surprise you? Yes of course it did, I mean no one has ever spoken about it and it’s cmme as a complete shock especially since the Scotland man is in such superb form for high flying Villa in the EPL.
Okay, I’m being sarcastic, but everyone and their granny has heard how McGinn slipped through the club’s fingers, whether it was due to us not wanting to splash the cash, Hibs not wanting to sell to us, or McGinn wanting the higher salary on offer down south.
But who really cares? It’s finished and dusted. We’ve let a lot of good players slip through the net when we could have had them at Celtic Park. We go on because this is life.
What’s the point on dwelling on it? John McGinn has been superb down south and good luck to him, I admire him as a player and a person. It’s great to see him doing well in England.
Yes he would have been a superb addition to our side, but we’ve done not to badly these past few years eh? I prefer to concentrate on the side that we have currently.
