Pundit just can’t believe Celtic never bothered to sign 24-year-old in January’

After scoring against Brendan Rodgers’ side on Saturday, Bojan Miovski followed that up with another against Rangers last night.

The 24-year-old striker shown once more that he is a class act when it comes to scoring under duress despite The Dons losing 2-1 to the Ibrox team.

The Macedonian international was linked to Celtic in the January transfer window; it appears that the club’s decision to pass on the Aberdeen player has now come back to haunt them.

Stephen McGinn, a radio pundit, adds that he finds it hard to imagine Rodgers passed up Miovski before the January transfer window closed.

McGinn stated on The Go Radio Football Show, “I just can’t figure out how you see Miovski and Celtic play one up front.

Although I know he has had a few exceptional days, Yogo has not reached new heights against Rangers.

“But he can occupy two centre-halves. Is he the finished product in terms of a Celtic Champions League striker? No, but is anyone in the side?

“I just watched the goal he scored over the weekend; he ran from his own half against Hibs at Hampden in a semifinal.

He is a 24-year-old internationalist. Simply put, I thought it was obvious. Given his performance in a game like Saturday, his price tag has likely increased by a few million dollars.

This season, Celtic has struggled to score goals, therefore Miovski would have been a fantastic addition to the team.

With 20 goals this season, Miovski is likely to go in the summer. Given his goalscoring prowess this season both in Scotland and in Europe, he might now have better choices in higher leagues.

Celtic, though, seems to have moved on. If there was any interest in the Aberdeen striker, it has now ended with the arrival of Adam Idah.

The Celtics supporters will be hopeful that Idah will be the one to provide Kyogo with an alternative goal-scoring option and lead them to the championship this year.
