Club open to offers as Celtic plan to seal another new signing

This summer, Celtic would like to add a new left-back, and they are targeting Owen Beck, a left-back for Liverpool.

Adam Idah, a striker for Norwich City, is almost certain to sign a five-year contract with the Bhoys at Celtic Park.

On August 13, The Daily Record reported that the Bhoys are actively trying to sign Beck and are aiming to add a stopper and a new left-back before the transfer window closes.

Anthony Joseph claims that negotiations are on between Queens Park Rangers and Liverpool to recruit Beck on a loan.

Liverpool are prepared to allowing the youngster go on a permanent deal if their valuation is satisfied.

The Reds are requesting payment in the region of £3 million with further add-ons, and Celtic are keen to sign him permanently.

Beck is a top target for Brendan Rodgers, who is trying to find a replacement for Greg Taylor in the starting lineup.

“Update: QPR are in talks with Liverpool over a potential loan deal for Owen Beck,” the Sky Sports writer stated on X.

“Liverpool ARE open to offers for the LB & would prefer a permanent transfer, if their valuation is met. While Celtic is interested in a long-term relocation, several EFL teams are eager to sign a loan agreement.
The highly regarded young talent, a 20-year-old defender, made a big impression while on loan at Dundee last season. His performances have attracted Celtic, and it is up to them to reach an agreement with Liverpool ahead of other suitors.

Liverpool have Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as two reliable left-backs, and it would be really hard for Beck to get into the senior side at the moment.

With the Reds preferring to sell him permanently, Celtic should feel confident about signing him despite the fact that other clubs are in talks over a potential deal already.
