Two New Celtic Signings Before USA Trip

Celtic supporters have been demanding that the team find a successor for the Englishman, Joe Hart, since the end of the season and possibly even before. Joe declared his retirement in February, so there’s really no good reason why we don’t have a new custodian three weeks before the start of the SPFL season.
Manager Brendan Rodgers addressed the issue as Celtic got ready to leave for their preseason trip to the USA, acknowledging the fans’ worries but also providing some rays of light. “We’re a club that needs to improve the squad, so it’s natural to ask that question,” Rodgers said SunSport. “I mentioned earlier about getting at least a couple in before we head to America,” he continued. That’s still the idea. We all know we lost three players and they were very important players for us. That alone demonstrates we need to make that right and we also have to improve.”

Even if the manager might be just as irate as the supporters, at this point he doesn’t want to display it. Despite having more money than they need, Celtic’s team is not as good as it was in the previous campaign, when they barely made the league finals. Celtic needs to start supporting their manager right now.
For many, the inability to quickly find a replacement custodian has been a source of aggravation. Ever since Joe Hart announced his retirement, the supporters have not stopped talking about how strong of a replacement he has to have. The fan base is feeling anxious and impatient because they know that this choice will have a significant impact on how the season plays out.

Rodgers’ admission of the problem might appease certain supporters. It’s encouraging that he assured us that the team is trying to get additional players before they leave for the USA. But words do not always translate into deeds, and time is of the essence.

Theoretically, Celtic’s financial status should permit substantial additions. The team should be strengthened by taking advantage of the club’s strong balance sheet. The Champions League bonanza they are about to earn is not even factored into the amount of money they now have in the bank. which will set a new club record.

The tour in the USA is a crucial period for Celtic. It’s a time for the team to gel, for new players to integrate, and for the manager to assess the squad’s strengths and weaknesses. Heading into this period without a settled goalkeeper is far from ideal.

While it’s true the transfer window is open until the beginning of September, you give new players very little chance to settle before putting them into the thick of things. Every day counts, and each passing day without a new signing intensifies the scrutiny on the club’s decision-makers. The fans have made their voices heard, and now it’s up to the club to respond.
