German transfer insider Florian Plettenberg has just dropped a Tweet about Stuttgart, who are looking great in the Bundesliga so far this season.
They’re flying high – but they could soon be a victim of their own success. They have a number of players with release clauses in their contracts, and doing so well is making the sums required to sign them look very reasonable.
Chelsea are looking for depth in defence, midfield and attack, and Plettenberg reveals a number of tempting targets.
Three Bundesliga stars with release clauses could tempt Chelsea in January
Serhou Guirassy is Europe’s hottest striker right now, with 17 goals in 14 Bundesliga starts. He will apparently be available for around €20m.
Then there’s Dan-Axel Zagadou, a central defender who Chelsea can grab next summer for around €15m.
Completing the set is versatile left/centre back Hiroki Ito, who could be bought for €30m in the summer.
All of these look very tempting opportunities for Chelsea, and we expect links to Ito and Zagadou to follow those we’ve already seen to Guirassy.
