Motorcyclist dies following collision with car in Chertsey

Surrey Police has appealed for witnesses to come forward following the accident on Wednesda

A two-vehicle collision near Chertsey on Wenesday morning (August 7) resulted in the death of a man.

The man, who was riding a motorbike on Stonehill Road in Lyne at around eight in the morning, was the one who was involved in the crash. He was in his 40s.

While investigators work on the case, Surrey Police is pleading with witnesses to come forward with any information.

“We are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a car and motorbike took place this morning on Stonehill Road,” a Surrey Police spokeswoman stated.Sadly, the man in his 40s who was riding a motorbike along Stonehill Road this morning at around eight in the morning passed away at the scene.
“Minor injuries have been received by the driver of the involved car.

“We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage.”

A road closure has been put in place on Stonehill Road from Fox Hills Road to Longcross Road.
