KUTV, Salt Lake City Two victims in a collision on state Route 132 in Sanpete County, Utah, have been recognised by the authorities.
The Utah Department of Public Safety released a statement following the collision, which occurred on Monday in Chester and involved three vehicles close to milepost 61.
The Ford F250 following the Dodge Intrepid did not slow down, according to the DPS, and the Intrepid slowed to make a left turn into a residence.
The pickup truck impacted the rear of the automobile, sending it into the path of an incoming Toyota Corolla, authorities added.
In the collision, the Dodge’s driver and passenger perished.
Both victims, Braden A. Christiansen, 27, and Caitlin M. Edmunds, 26, were from Chester, according to the DPS. Two individuals from the Toyota and the driver and only occupant of the Ford were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The police are looking into the possibility that distraction played a role in the crash.
