Andre contributed to the Bulls’ back-to-back victory over the Hornets by finishing with a solid double-double for the sixth time in his career as a starter.
Once again, Andre Drummond performed admirably for the Chicago Bulls. Dre scored a massive double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds in the Bulls’ 119-112 victory over the Charlotte Hornets in their rematch.
His presence under the basket, along with Nikola Vucevic’s off-the-bench performance, enabled Chicago to dominate and overwhelm Charlotte’s frontcourt.
Andre played as a starter for the eighth consecutive game on Monday against the Hornets. Coach Billy Donovan chose to start Drummond as his centre despite the fact that Vooch is already available in order to continue monitoring the Montenegrin star’s health.
Donovan wasn’t let down by his choice in the end, either, as Andre once again exceeded their expectations with a huge effort to lead the Bulls’ dub on the road.
A victory like this, regardless of how it was obtained, couldn’t be more crucial for the Bulls given their current status in the East and the margins by which they still lag the teams ranked higher above them.
Andre is excited to help the Bulls snap their losing streak and return to the Play-In picture as the ninth seed with a much-improved 17–21 record.
