Named AFC Offensive award Player of the Week Following Win Over San Francisco

CINCINNATI — Following a strong showing against the 49ers, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the sixth time in his career.

Against a defence that started the game ranked in the top five in terms of EPA/play allowed, Burrow completed 28 of 32 passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns. Cincinnati prevailed 31–17.

The player for the franchise achieved a career-best completion percentage of 87.5. His 134.8 passer rating led all AFC quarterbacks in Week 8, and it was the second-highest in a game in the team’s history (minimum 20 attempts). That also led all NFL passers.
