Can the Browns offensive line manage without left tackle.

Columbus, Ohio — This season, the Browns’ offensive line has occasionally been lacking depth. Left lineman Jedrick Wills Jr. was taken off the field during Sunday’s victory over Arizona due to a knee injury. He will likely need to miss at least six weeks of recovery time for a low-grade PCL sprain, a high-grade MCL sprain and bone bruising.

Ever since the bye week, Wills’s performance had improved. Wills concluded last week’s game (39 plays) with a Pro Football Focus run-blocking score of 75.5 and an overall grade of 66.4.

There are alternatives to think about even though his replacement has not yet been revealed. On Sunday, James Hudson III replaced Wills, but he didn’t have a great game; his pass-blocking grade was 29.8.

However, during Monday’s practice, Hudson took repetitions on the right side, which may indicate that rookie Dawand Jones would start at left tackle against the Ravens on Sunday.

Watch Dave Bacon and Mary Kay Cabot, hosts of Sports 4 CLE, talk about how the Browns may handle left tackle in Wills’ absence in the video at the top of this article.
