The Baltimore Ravens had multiple key players who didn’t practice Tuesday ahead of Thursday Night Football clash versus Cincinnati Bengals
Following their 33-31 loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Baltimore Ravens were sidelined with several injuries. This is not good news for the squad as they prepare to play Thursday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals in a short week.
According to Melissa Y. Kim, seven important players missed practice on Tuesday. They were cornerback Marlon Humphrey, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., outside linebackers Kyle Van Noy and Jadeveon Clowney, interior linebacker Trenton Simpson, and offensive lineman John Simpson and Ronnie Stanley.
During the Browns game, Beckham Jr. made a tremendous touchdown reception of 40 yards. Earlier in the season, he suffered with an ankle ailment that kept him out of many games. In the game, Clowney also had a significant impact by sacking Deshaun Watson twice.
To begin the week, the Cincinnati Bengals’ injury report was similarly crowded. Defensive ends Trey Hendrickson, D.J. Reader, Sam Hubbard, and wide receivers Tee Higgins and Andre Ioslvas were among the five players who did not practice.
For the Ravens and Bengals, who are both coming off of shocking defeats, this game will mean a lot. The Steelers and Browns have already defeated Baltimore this season, thus the Ravens have a high chance of losing their divisional advantage if they lose this game.
The Bengals, who are 5-4 and at the bottom of the division due to a sluggish start to the season, may have even more stakes coming into this game. It could be too difficult for the Bengals to escape the division abyss if they fall short and get swept by the Ravens.
