Colorado Springs continue offseason transactions with a pair:

The Colorado Springs Switchbacks on Monday announced that forward Jonas Fjeldberg would return to the club for the 2024 season. The next day, the club announced that defender James Musa would return as well.

Colorado Springs acquired the 25-year-old Norwegian Fjeldberg in May from Indy Eleven in exchange for defender Macauley King. He battled injury through much of his time with the Switchbacks but played in 20 matches for Colorado Springs, starting in 11.

He scored a goal, recorded two assists, and had a passing accuracy of 71.1%.

“I’m excited to get a full year with this team,” Fjeldberg said in a release. “Last year was plagued by injuries, and I’m working very hard to get back to where I want to be. Can’t wait to play in front of our amazing fans!”

Musa returns for his second year with Colorado Springs following a 2023 campaign in which he played more than 1,300 minutes on 17 appearances and 16 starts.

In that time he had 19 interceptions, 10 blocks and 71 clearances.

“I’m really excited to be back and to build off the qualities and momentum that we showed towards the back end of last season,” Musa stated in a release. “I’m looking forward to meeting the new additions to the squad and hope they’re ready to accomplish great things for this club. This city, club, and fans deserve a trophy. I have a good feeling 2024 is going to be a memorable season for us all!”
