After hurting his right shoulder on a second-down run during Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, the rookie quarterback left the contest in the second quarter.
Richardson remained on the ground after being tackled by Harold Landry and tapped his right shoulder as team personnel responded to him. He next made his way to the dressing room for more analysis.
Prior to removing him from the game in the second half, the Colts had him on their initial list of questionable returns.
After suffering an injury, Richardson was replaced by the backup Gardner Minshew. After Richardson suffered a concussion in Week 2’s victory over the Houston Texans, the veteran in his fifth season entered the game. Richardson stayed in the concussion protocol but began the next game.
