Man found dead in Cottingham home and no one knows where his family is

Police have launched an appeal to locate the family of a man who died at his home in Cottingham.

Humberside Police officers have said 70-year-old David Pluves passed away at his home in the village on Tuesday, December 17.

The force has confirmed officers have not been successful in their attempts to locate Mr Pluves’ family – who they believe could be in the Flamborough area.

They want anyone who knows Mr Pluves, or has contact details for his family members, to contact officers on 101.

In a statement, a spokeswoman for the force said: “Can you help us find the next of David Pluves, 70, who sadly passed away at his home in Cottingham?

“Mr Pluves was found at his home on New Village Road on Tuesday, December 17. Despite our efforts we have not been able to track his family down.

“We are not treating Mr Pluves death as suspicious. It’s believed he may have relatives in the Flamborough area.”
